Wednesday, 6 July 2016 – Modality Systems is proud to announce they have been named as a finalist in the 2016 Microsoft Australia Partner Awards (MAPA) in the category of Winning Together. Modality were selected from a national field of top Microsoft Partners for delivering market-leading customer solutions built on the Microsoft platform.

The 21 categories of the MAPA programme recognise Microsoft Partners that have developed and delivered exceptional Microsoft-based solutions during the year.

“I want to congratulate Modality Systems on being selected as a finalist of the 2016 Microsoft Australia Partner Winning Together Award. Microsoft’s partner ecosystem is our market differentiator and our awards program celebrates the transformative solutions created by our partners for customers in this country. We are incredibly proud of all the finalists and the role they play in helping our customers have great experiences with Microsoft products and services.” Says Mark Leigh, SMS&P Director, Microsoft Australia.

For the award entry, Modality showcased Microsoft’s productivity products to create a unique and differentiated solution that allows our customers to thrive and deliver business value. Partnering with Telstra, we created an Australia-first solution, and we brought our customer’s vision to life.

Our case study was based on a leading global professional services provider of Skype for Business enterprise voice solutions. In 2015, the customer decided on a workplace revolution in their Perth office, their vision was for all 650 employees to switch to activity-based working. This meant no permanent desks and no phone handsets, all communication would go through one laptop application.

Lead by Modality Systems Senior Consultant, Mahendran Suppiah, our team of experts devised a series of switching interfaces to give the customer triple-level call resilience. Even if the Perth WAN fails, and they lose back-up call routing through other offices, staff can make calls through their laptops via the public phone network. In addition, we built real enthusiasm internally among the workforce for change, so that after just 28 days, our project delivered a seamless call service in the customer’s new office.

Justin Morris, Modality Systems Country Manager, Australia says: “What set us apart from other solution providers was the confidence we could adapt to the situation in Australia, and collaborate quickly with Telstra to overcome all technical barriers. The key to this project was a successful partnership. We needed to work with Telstra to validate our technical design; there was no room for mistakes, or poor communication. We either got it right, or we failed.”

Our solution is a trailblazer for the customer. Not only did we change the way people make calls, we transformed the way they work. Employees entering the office now feel they are working right at the leading edge of professional collaboration. Modality Systems have helped the customer bring a unique way of working to life, stimulated real enthusiasm among workers and ignited an unstoppable impetus for change.
